Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Pika Resume you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. These two documents together form the full agreement between you and us. If you are using Pika Resume on behalf of an employer, agency, school, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Pika Resume account on your own. If you are between 13 and 17 you may use the service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the service if you are under 13.

You agree to provide accurate information when you create an account, and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account. Notify us immediately at support@pikaresume.comif you believe your account has been compromised.

We support sign-in with email and password, with Google, and with LinkedIn. You can close your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us. We may also terminate accounts as described in the suspension and termination section below.

3. What Pika Resume provides

Pika Resume is a web service that helps you build, edit, and tailor resumes and CVs. The current feature set includes a template-based resume builder, an AI bullet rewriter, the Pika Match JD-tailoring tool, the Pika Edit PDF editor, the AI roast feedback tool, a free ATS check, expert human review (where offered), and the resume examples library. We add and remove features from time to time. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid features.

Pika Resume is not a job board, recruiting agency, or career counsellor. We help you produce a good resume. We do not place you in jobs and we do not guarantee any specific employment outcome.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Some features require payment. Pricing is shown on the pricing pageand is denominated in the currency that matches your country. Local taxes may be added at checkout where applicable.

Payments are processed by Razorpay (and other approved payment processors as we expand). When you pay you agree to the terms of the payment processor in addition to ours. You authorise us, through the payment processor, to charge the payment method you provide for the amount shown at checkout.

Pika Resume offers two kinds of paid products:

• One-time downloads. A one-time charge for a specific deliverable such as a resume PDF download or a single JD-tailored resume. Access to the deliverable is lifetime for that specific resume.
• Subscriptions. Pro Weekly, Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly, and Pika Match Unlimited are recurring subscriptions. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel from the dashboard or by emailing support@pikaresume.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.

Prices are subject to change. We will give at least 30 days notice of any price increase that affects an active subscription, and you may cancel before the increase takes effect.

5. Refund policy

Because the service delivers digital content, refunds are limited:

• One-time downloads. Once you have downloaded the file the purchase is non-refundable.
• Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not refund unused time on a cancelled subscription.
• Genuine technical failures. If a payment was charged but the corresponding service was not delivered because of a technical failure on our side, contact us within 14 days and we will refund the full amount.
• Local consumer law. Where the consumer protection law in your country gives you a stronger right to cancel or get a refund, that law applies and we will comply with it.

Refund requests go to support@pikaresume.com. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

6. Your content and licence to us

You retain all ownership rights to the resumes, CVs, cover letters, and other content you create or upload to Pika Resume. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and back up your content for the purpose of operating the service for you. The licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backups required for security and reasonable retention for legal records as described in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the content you put into Pika Resume and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

7. AI-generated content

Several features use AI to generate text including bullet rewrites, JD-tailored versions of your resume, roast feedback, and AI cover letters. AI output is generated automatically and is not guaranteed to be accurate, original, or appropriate for every use. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before you send it to a recruiter or use it elsewhere.

Specifically, you agree that AI-generated content may occasionally produce statements that are inaccurate about your background. The AI works from the resume content you provide; if you ask it to expand a vague line it may add reasonable-sounding text that you have to verify. Always check.

We do not guarantee any particular employment, interview, callback, or salary outcome from using the service or its AI features.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to do any of the following:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or work history in a way that violates a law that applies to you.
• Use the service to create resumes for people without their consent.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates the privacy of any third party.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the service.
• Scrape the service, including the templates, the examples library, and AI outputs, for commercial reuse.
• Use the service to compete with Pika Resume or to build a competing product.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, including by submitting automated requests that bypass our rate limits or abuse our AI quota.
• Resell paid features, share account credentials, or use a single account on behalf of multiple natural persons.

9. Our intellectual property

All software, templates, designs, brand marks, logos, and editorial content on the service are owned by UIX Labs and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them as needed to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, or sublicence them for any other purpose.

We may use de-identified, aggregate data about how the service is used to improve the product. This never includes resume content attributable to you.

10. Third-party services

Pika Resume integrates with third-party services including payment processors, AI model providers, analytics tools, and authentication providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We do our best to choose reputable processors and to document them in the Privacy Policy, but we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of those services.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any warranty or liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law in your country.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the liability, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited by law in your country, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by the applicable consumer protection law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless UIX Labs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, or damage arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. We will give you reasonable notice of any such claim, and you will have control of the defence and any settlement, provided that you do not settle the claim in a way that imposes any obligation on us without our written consent.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Pika Resume at any time and close your account from your dashboard. Closing your account stops future subscription renewals; refunds for past charges are governed by the refund policy above.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if your continued use of the service creates a risk to other users, or if we are required to do so by law. We will give you notice where reasonably possible.

Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination, including the licence you grant us for content already in our backups, the disclaimer of warranties, the limitation of liability, and the dispute resolution section, will survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The courts located in Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service.

This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law that applies in the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Australia, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your home country and benefit from non-waivable rights under your local law.

Before starting any formal proceedings, we ask you to contact us at support@pikaresume.com so we can try to resolve the issue.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, we will notify you by email or through an in-product notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
